Court hearing for custody
"i've always been a good person, I just haven't always done good things," Brandi said, as she prepares to attend Family Treatment Drug Court which is part of her mandated program to gain custody of her infant daughter, Patience. Even though Brandi entered the system at 12 and began a life of homelessness at 18, she is determined to break her pattern by holding herself accountable for the choices made. "I could have avoided this whole situation and did what I had to do. I chose to be homeless and high all the time, and I wanted to forget my past but realizing that I was forgetting my present as well. I was trying to block it all out."
