"To be homeless, to be out on the street, getting high, having no responsibilities, to getting in trouble with the law...it just became my way of life.  That was my normal.  This is actually the first time that I feel that my way of life is really not the way," Brandi said.   Preparing breakfast and getting Patience to daycare before Brandi begins a full day of therapy, life skills classes and job training, all of this is new for her.  The regimentation of the program is physically and emotionally challenging, however, she understands it is necessary.  "It's normal for me to be uncomfortable right now. It's actually good for me.  The way I'm living now is my new way of life."
