Substance abuse is not uncommon for residents at Crossroads so when a guest returns to the shelter intoxicated and unstable she is escorted to a private area for help to protect her and mitigate the potential for problems with other residents. Programs are available to deal with substance abuse and other life-limiting problems. Many of the residents work towards healing and stability.
