BEING THUNDER is a meditative, unintrusive documentary about a courageous Indigenous teenager who unapologetically strives for greatness against all types of resistance and offers an intimate look at Sherente's life and their community. It shows a moving picture of what Two Spirit acceptance should look like and creates a model for others to follow. BEING THUNDER Premiered at Toronto’s Inside Out Film Festival (World), San Francisco’s Frameline45 (U.S.), and NewFest in New York City (East Coast). NY-based distributor Film Movement acquired North American rights to BEING THUNDER in 2022.
